With his powers, a parody of suicide involving a large body of water should've been unattractive for someone like Axel. But boredom had a funny way of making people take risks they wouldn't otherwise. And it'd been a while since his warping ability had been seriously tested outside of the labs at Never Was.
Given that he had always been faster than any of the "true" Nobodies in his Organization though, it was natural for Axel to show up at the spot with his usual confidence. "This the highest one you could find?" he asked, walking over to peer over the railing at the river below.

"Yup!" One grin and a hop later and Demyx was seated on the railing, legs dangling over the edge. He still wondered whether Axel would truly participate, risking the possible plunge into the water below. A drenched Axel was a very rare sight indeed, and it was this visualization that gave the water bearer an aura of defiance- defiance to Axel's belief that he would lose spectacularly to the other.
"Deepest river, too. So don't go drowning yourself, alright?" He teased, a challenging sort of look upon his face. "I'm not that great at saving people."

Axel scoffed. "Like I would," he replied, glancing over at the other sitting on the railing. He toyed vaguely with the idea of simply pushing Demyx off with no warning whatsoever, but he let it go. He could "play fair" just this one time - seeing as how he wasn't up against someone who was treacherous 99% of the time like Marluxia or Larxene. "And anyway, I think you'll be too busy with getting out of the water yourself to even think about saving me."
If anything, the water part of this challenge made him more determined to win. No way was he getting soaked from head to toe.
