Jenos was in need of some fresh air to clear her mind. Walks were always the best thing for keeping her mind blank, and with her memories mired in someone's else's plus her recent, heavy bout of homesickness for her own Template, she definitely needed something to clear her mind. And so she allowed her feet to take her where they would, along paths both familiar and unfamiliar from her other strolls around this city. And as she walked she took nothing in, allowed nothing to cross her mind, eyes closed and a half-smile curving her lips as she let an empty peace wash over ( ... )

Raine blinked, lifting her head when she heard the other woman's voice; she wasn't sure if it was being directed at her or not, though considering she was the only person in the area, it made sense.

She opened her mouth to respond to her, even if it was only to say 'umm', as she wasn't quite sure if she was okay. Feeling dizzy was never fun, after all, though when she closed her lips again it occurred to her that no sound had come out at all.

Which was very, very strange. She made the attempt again... and still, there was nothing. Confused, she put a hand on her throat.

Jenos blinked as she slowed her pace, coming to crouch down beside Raine. She had seen the other open her mouth... yet she had made no noise. And she seemed confused by that, so it wasn't normal. Frantic footsteps... the silver-haired woman had been running from something. Jenos remembered about the encounter she and Asch had had with the Empty Child, how she'd been touched and had random bouts of falling asleep since, along with the effects she'd been dealt the first time the child had come around. It was a theory, at least, and a theory was better than nothing especially when the only person who could tell her what had happened had apparently been struck mute.

"Did you see a child around here? Looking for his mom?" Jenos kept her tone gentle as she looked Raine over in concern. It didn't seem like she was hurt at all... that was a relief.

Raine listened to the woman's question, absently pulling her bear closer with her other hand. She opened her mouth to speak again, then closed it. Still nothing. Unable to respond that way, she nodded her head a moment later, though the confusion was still present in her expression.

Minato was most definitely not amused or enthralled at all by everything that he had seen so far. It was one thing for people to simply forget their memories, but switching bits and pieces of the memories of people was quite another.

There was also the matter of that child he had heard about from Wei. Although the only thing he knew about the child was that it seemed to want something, it was a good enough guess for now that the child might be looking for the memories of people.

When he looked up from the ground, he saw something that grabbed his attention right away; it didn't look like any child he had seen before. Minato saw it hold a silver-haired woman's hand for a while before she fell and it disappeared.

Not knowing if the child might have hurt the woman by his touch, he decided to check up on her. "Are you alright?"

Raine lifted her head up at the sound of someone approaching, her expression clearly that of one being startled, her blue eyes wide in her face. She pulled her bear a little closer and blinked a little.

Normally at this point in time she would stammer for a response, though when she opened her mouth to speak, there wasn't anything to be heard. "..."

Since she's trying to speak, that child probably did something to her voice, he thought. She appears to be rather sick as well...

At the very least, he could help her to get up first and figure out what to do afterwards, which was exactly what he did.

Raine would have thanked him for helping her up, but there's that whole not-being able to speak thing. She saw it happen to other people once before, though never actually thought that she would have the same experience.

After he helps her up she just remains blinking a little, mouthing the word thank you and looking back down rather nervously.
