Information was key in knowing the people around you, whether they were friends or enemies. It was also very important when it came to planning strategies. It was, therefore, only common sense that Yukimura kept track of everything that he could on everyone that he knew, or felt could be either a potential ally or a threat. It was a bit harder without the extra ten pairs of ears and eyes that he would normally have had when he was alive before, but, so far he'd managed. It was fair, then, to say that Yukimura hadn't entirely forgotten about the flowers that he'd watched Wei plant some time back. They were not, however, on his mind at all when he had been called over to the business district from where their apartment was located

He heard the knock and the door open, but otherwise Wei didn't move from his spot on the floor. He only moved once Yukimura draped his arms over his shoulders and Wei arched his back and head enough to look at the samurai clinging off of him

Once explained, the pieces matched up and it all made sense. You could usually count on a Contractor for that, if nothing else. Usually.
"What are you going to use them for?"
The flowers were pretty, but it wasn't enough like Wei to keep something growing in his headquarters solely for its aesthetic value, and without having some other purpose for them. Yukimura had an idea of what they could do, thanks to Wei filling him in before, but if, or when, the man decided to actually use them he wanted to be around for it. Or to at least see the results. Yukimura was rather iffy about anything that had to do with the Gate but the flowers didn't seem like they would cause problems. They were more of a tool and Wei already had experience handling them.
"You're definitely going to have to keep your double from finding this place now."
