Roxas's memories of fury were fresh. It hadn't been too long since that week, after all - that week that had given him his heart back, for however brief a time. He'd remembered a lot of things during that week, but only one mattered right now, the one pounding in his skull as he stepped out of the portal and found himself facing Marluxia's new ... playground.
On any other day he might have found its size and sheer density daunting. Some instinctual part of him wanted to get away from it, and fast. But Axel was in there.
... wasn't he? Roxas grit his teeth, not yet moving from where he'd appeared several feet away. That had .. been Axel right? It wouldn't be beneath Marluxia to pull something like-
No. He didn't have time to doubt this. If that WAS Axel, he needed to go. Now. And if it wasn't.. well, he could take care of himself.
So with a few steps forward he took one last, steadying breath, then shouted for his opponent. "Marluxia! Let. Him. Go!" With that he summoned his keyblades and rushed in headlong - a very tiny part of
( ... )
Marluxia was aware the instant Roxas stepped into his garden. Needless to say that his instincts were hardly necessary- he would have had a hard time of missing him, with noise like that. Really, if he was going to attempt a 'rescue mission', he might as well TRY and be stealthy about it.
No mind; It saved him the trouble of hunting him down among the plants. He only hoped that his little 'visitor' didn't trample them too badly. But enough of that. It was time to get things started, wasn't it?
Almost lazily, he directed a few vines nearby, roping them around an arch that revealed the opening into the very heart of the garden. The 'Axel' he had created was only visable on that second plane of existance, so he summoned more shrubs over the spot where he had been.
Of course, that wasn't to say that the real Axel WOULDN'T be there soon.
He stepped into view. "And miss the chance to witness your 'interference'?"
