Well....

Axel could only whistle at this find; leave it to the twin to pick the most expensive building he could get his hands on. At least the Nobody had damn good taste.

He stepped inside and began the climb up, taking in note of the wood and steel blend. Ritzy as hell but who was he to complain? This home was a damn masterpiece, really. He almost felt bad, knowing they would soon defile every room they could in as many positions as humanly possible. But before that...

His eyes seemed to glaze over in thought, his hands smoothing along the surfaces. Funny. How long had it been since he'd entered an actual house, not hunting for heartless? Living with the task force wasn't what he'd call a family setting; hell, for most of his life, random apartment buildings and sterile rooms had been his main idea of home. Houses that held a certain amount of comfort and safety.... He'd forgotten what that felt like.

"Nice pick," he muttered in approval, and flashed the twin a grin. "And we didn't even have to go looking for furniture."

Axel felt an identical grin plaster itself on to his face, one which he considered to be completely understandable. It was a good pick, that opinion reaffirming itself each time he spotted yet another detail he approved of - the kitchen, for one, with its stainless metal surfaces and granite accents - or some creature comfort he'd never gotten the chance to enjoy during this lifetime - hell, that very comfortable looking couch was one of them.

It was a weird feeling. Almost feeling, anyway. A house. A home. Heh, who would've thought?

"I like the fireplace," he commented with a laugh, snapping his fingers to light up the thoughtfully-provided wood. He shrugged out of his coat to lay it near the warmth, definitely glad to be out of the damn thunderstorms that had settled on the city and had yet to leave.

"How many bedrooms? I didn't get to check." That was a very important question, of course.

He was already in and out of a few rooms by the time the twin asked that question. "Two so far... no, make that three." He clucked in amusement. "Too bad we'll only be using one at a time." One room in particular had a very impressive looking jacuzzi, while another one had one of the biggest showers he'd laid eyes on. They'd have to experiment with both soon.

Overall, Axel felt very pleased with their selection. Tastefully done but not too over the top... then again, it was a circular house. Maybe his definition needed adjustment. Whatever.

Such thoughts fled his mind, however, when he eyed the half-naked Axel strutting around, flashing him that chest. Not even five minutes past upon getting in this place and the twin was already stripping. "Have you no shame?" he berated the other, though his heated glance destroyed whatever argument he might've had.

"Not as much as I used to," was the flippant reply, Axel going out of his way to stretch in front of the fire. Not that he was cold; most of the damp was already gone. No, this was just for the hell of it. "Which is your fault, by the way."

A lot of things were the other's fault, incidentally. A lot of good things. It was daunting and kind of...humbling, almost. Worrisome, too, considering who'd had the nerve to show his face in Template...

But whatever. Marluxia wasn't worth his time to think about. Axel finished his good stretch, still grinning at his twin. "Not that I'm complaining."

He paused to take in the view out the windows, regarding the rain with a measure of detachment. Normally he'd be pissed about it. He hated rain. He'd experienced enough of it in The World That Never Was to last him several lifetimes. But this time...it was like the rain didn't even matter anymore.

"...yeah, not complaining at all."

He couldn't argue with that logic, and didn't bother trying to. In fact, knowing how far he'd corrupted the other brought a little pride to the surface, Axel's grin getting a smidgen bigger. Why not? There was nothing wrong with being proud of one's handiwork ( ... )
