The rush in the Melody Club Cafe was starting to subside. Satisfied customers were moving away from the counter and towards the circular tables scattered strategically around the place. Once he was given room to breathe, the manager of the cafe took a step back to pour himself a cup. He kept it in his hand as he withdrew a rag from his hip and began to wipe down the counter. Ever since the cafe had been handed down to him simply via seniority, he had been kept busy enough to lose track of the going-ons around Template. Something about his kids recently, and he had a wife? That wasn't Mia? Absurd, how could he have even believed that for a second! But that's right, Mia wasn't here. Perhaps it wasn't so hard to believe
