I don't know whether I will ever actually see Mary, Queen of Scots or The Favourite, but I am enjoying this thing where suddenly everyone is thinking about early modern queens:

The Favourite was good. Despite some anachronisms -- like "staying on track." Great acting, and great conflict.

From what I've read, the anachronisms are intentional - which doesn't bother me (although I reserve the right to complain about the impact of any particular anachronism). But I'm glad to hear that it was enjoyable!
