A nice email to receive from Shakespeare's Globe this morning:

We are thrilled to announce that Michelle Terry will be Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe from April 2018.

So excited about this! (Plus, yay for mentioning Shakespeare's contemporaries in her statement! Maybe the Globe will go back to staging early modern plays that aren't part of Shakespeare's ten or twelve greatest hits.)

One can only hope! - although they'd have to film them as well (so, not staging them all in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, for a start), for me to get much benefit from the decision. :)
