You know, I love Rory enormously, but I'm not sure it says good things about him that he was buddies with Samuel Pepys . . . dude was sketch! *cracking up*

Heh. Well, it only said that Samuel Pepys counted Rory as a friend, not the other way around. :) I like to imagine Pepys showing up wherever the Pandorica was being kept, and Rory rolling his eyes.

I *think* Isaac Newton was also listed? But I'm not 100% sure, so I didn't put it in the post.

Valid point! Also, Isaac Newton: like Pepys, an important figure, but maybe not the most fun guy to hang out with. Poor Rory couldn't get any of the brilliant dinner conversationalists in British history?

I don't think Pepys would be a bad guy to hang out with ...if you're male and are a member of his social class or can counterfeit being a member of his social class. Rory's probably okay. I wouldn't let women, especially women who aren't upper-class, anywhere near him. Isaac Newton, on the other hand, wouldn't be fun at anyone's dinner party.

Rory's stint as a centurian is worth a three-parter if not a series.

I would definitely watch the adventures of Rory the Lone Centurion!
