I gather you are familiar with the tragic opera Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky. It's a magnificent work and the same story depicted in this film.

I've only read Pushkin's work and haven't actually heard the opera yet but I'd love to. Do you recommend it? I think I'll track it down now you've reminded me, I love Tchaikovsky. Thank you! xxx
