Eee, I totally stayed up until 3 a.m. last night to read this, but then I was too tired to comment coherently. So now I can! This is GREAT -- your Jackson voice is awesome, and I'm so impressed by how you managed to carry on the actual narrative despite him being such a terribly unreliable narrator, about both the actual events and his own mental state. And Danny and Stiles are adorable, too, and the background tensions, like the Scott-Isaac friendship, and Lydia's problems with Peter, are really well-handled. And I love how this is secretly Jackson/Danny, too -- even if Jackson's not ready to admit that. Lovely work. <3

Thank you! ♥ Ahaha, I'm apparently just incapable of writing a Jackson who isn't at least a bit in love with Danny, whether he knows it or not. (Luckily, everyone else knows about it. Actually, my headcanon is that Danny is at least 95% sure that Jackson is gay and in denial about it, and he figures Jackson is going to have a very interesting freshman year of college...)

I love Jackson and nobody gets why and this story, and Danny's insights into Jackson, basically explained it perfectly. You are right, this is a Danny/Stiles story that is mostly about Jackson and his issues and the way he handles actually caring about people. (you must have said that in your notes on AO3, which is where I originally read this). Anyways, this fic was so good for me!

Danny shrugged. "Whatever, dude. I like him. Live with it."
