I keep meaning to post something, never quite get around to it, and the longer I leave it...

I was planning, two months ago now, to post a summary of last year's Big List, but then found I couldn't because I'd deleted it. This is what happens when you use the 2012 file as the template for the 2013 file and then select 'save' rather than 'save as

I presume you've tried the obvious things like wearing a reflector jacket and riding well out from the pavement? (The further out you are, the more cars are likely to see you as something they actually have to pull out properly to pass)

I do wear a hi-viz vest, obviously. I don't get the logic of that last point. If you ride well out, any car that doesn't see you will turn you into something to plough down. And some drivers simply will not see you. I had one wind down his window and admit as such, after I'd had to veer sharp to the right to avoid going under his bonnet

Essentially, if you're further out from the kerb, the drivers actually notice you and thus give you decent space when overtaking.

If you hug the kerb, you become invisible.
