Inspired by espresso_addict, I've contributed articles to the fanlore wiki on the Horizon Letterzine and AltaZine.

In the latter article I refer (rather boldly) to a 'new wave' of B7 fiction that emerged in the second half of the 1990s. It was certainly my impression that there was a movement of this kind, but I never read zines that widely so maybe I was mistaken. Perhaps other people active in fandom at that time could corroborate this. Was there such a movement? If so did it have (or deserve) a name? And what lay behind it?

I'm not particularly interested in reading B7 fanfic any more (I tried, the other night, but it was too much effort), but the memetics of fandom remain fascinating. The how and why of fandom's evolution is something I find more interesting than fanworks in themselves.
