Oh, I loved this! The conversation between James and Remus was just gorgeous! I love it when James gives them a shove and he was so supportive, and Remus was so flustered and insecure... *squeals* Love it!

I am experiencing serious icon love for you right now... =D just thought you should know. But, also, Remus can be very insecure, you know, and then there's James...I just love writing James. I haven't actually done anything from his PoV for years now, and it's something I'll have to explore more often. Glad you liked it. Thanks for reading!

Commentary

This turned into a drabbly offshoot of A Knack for Things (between chapters 4 and 5, really), and then I had to backtrack and fix up a couple of things so that everything was canon with what I'd written months ago. For "Knack," I've never written from anyone's PoV besides Lily's, so it was interesting. And challenging. I realized that some of these other R/S prompts were also working out in the Knack-verse, the way I meant for R/S to work out in the future. It's weird, to have already written the past, and to be writing glimpses of the future...but I have to admit that I'm not 100% sure how I'm going to connect the two.

It's longer than I expected; it was partly because my mother's car blew a flat on our way back from California, so I had eight hours to write, instead of four.

I guess it's a dog thing but I was tickled by this:
