mmmm... lovely. Just read it again (without the random crying this time as well, yey!). I think I might manage a slightly more coherent comment this time.

Nick nodded. He knew. “I’m sorry,” he said again. “I should have asked you sooner. If you wanted to. Do you want to?” he added quickly, suddenly worried that he was assuming again. “Because we don’t have to…”

Oh, Nick! He's so adorable when he's nervous.

“Oh, okay.” Then Connor grinned again. “Cool.”

*pets* Yep, that's our Connor. And in fact, that entire conversation is just just so adorable and snuggly, veering wildly between nervous and hesitant to eager and excitable and impatient. If I tried to quote all the bits I liked it would end up being the entire thing!

And then impatient bottom!Nick, and enthusiastic-but-careful top!Connor, and kissing and cuddling and surprise declarations of love *happy sigh*

I just noticed my comment count was up on this fic, and wondered who had roled in several days after the fact, but it's you again! *g*

To be honest, I've never seen these two as the kind of couple who would be confident enough to just get down and dirty without a certain amount of vacillating and hesitancy. And it's never going to go smooth as silk either - they're just a couple of regular blokes, after all! ;)

Actually, I've never really seen them as the kind of couple who are all about the shagging, full stop. In my head they're definitely not at it like rabbits every night of the week, and are perfectly content with a bit of kissing and cuddling a lot of the time...

I'll stop the random musing now!

P.S. Um, is it very evil of me to actually be a bit smug that I made you cry? ;)

It sort of occured to me that I didn't leave a particularly coherent comment the first time I read it. Plus, my attempt at writing wasn't going well this evening so I thought, 'sod it, I'll read fic for a bit', and then ended up back here again.

and are perfectly content with a bit of kissing and cuddling a lot of the time...

mmmm... yes, I can just imangine them curled up on the sofa snuggled together watching natural history documentaries or something!

P.S. Um, is it very evil of me to actually be a bit smug that I made you cry? ;)

Nope, it's entirely normal. A long, long time ago I wrote something in the Buffy fandom that made a hell of a lot of people cry, and I was jumping up and down and cheering like mad about this as the comments came in.

*waves pompoms of encouragement for the writing* *\o/*

Exactly! It's like you're reading my mind or something... *g*

Oh good, that's all right then! My first reaction was to go awwwwwwwwwwww (and tear up a bit myself in response!). But then I started to feel a bit gleeful... ;)

Of course, enquiring minds want to know about the Buffy fic now - might I be able to find that somewhere?

I think I need the pompoms, I'm having a surprising amount of trouble engineering the required situation, and for some reason it's turning out to be even harder than trying to get everyone in the right place at the right time for the explosion in my vs4 ep! But on the other hand, if I can get it to work it'll be two challenges for the price of one.

oops! *looks shifty and sidles out of T_15's mind* Although now I'm having an urge for a cozy domestic fic with the boys cuddled up drinking tea and watching tv, and probably arguing over what to watch.

I just had a look, and, surprisingly enough, the fic archive where I posted my Buffy stuff is still up and running. I was already using the name Athene at that point, and my author page is here:

I don't know how much you were into Buffy, but all my fic is set either in series 6, or in an AU after series 5.

Ooh, which challenges? I'm intrigued!

Yeah, I can imagine Nick wanted the latest David Attenborough, and Connor wanting Star Trek. And actually, I'm not sure which one of them would give in to the other... *g*

Well, I've never read any Buffy fic, but I'm intrested now cos it's you! :)
