SUPANOVA FTW!!!

Gave my friend the money to buy some Supanova tickets. Yay~!

(To those who don't know, Supanova is like the Australian version of America's Comi-Con. To those who don't know what Comi-Con is, it's like a huge fan gathering place where you can cosplay, buy merchandise and generally squee happily at fandom being around you in RL. Awesome. We have our local (Chicago, IL) comicon in two weeks. It's called C2E2 and it is supposed to be massive. It will also be my second comicon. I went to Sakuracon in Seattle, WA last year and it knocked my sox off. I feel ya about picture taking. It's kinda scary to approach people at first, but as a cosplayer (did SNJ Kakashi and Neji) you really want people to aknowledge the work (and what you feel is a kick ass idea) you put into your costume. And nothing lights up your day like, "OMG can I have a picture with you?"

After much deliberation, I'm going to wear my faun costume to C2E2. I flubbed up my previous idea and don't have enough time to fix it. I will fix it though dammit!! Anyways, have fun. Park if you can. If you're going to blow all that money on stuff, you might as well blow more money and get it all home safely.

It's cool to hear things from a cosplayer's perspective. I was worried that people got annoyed at being asked to stand for photos... XD

And you make a good point about the parking. But then my friends would bitch over who would be the driver and whatnot, and that is an argument I would inevitably lose, and damn them all I hate driving. XP Anyway, my friend is concocting this huge plan to smuggle it on anyway and I kind of want to see if he can get away with it.

Would love to hear how the smuggle goes through. Have a blast, post pics, or just send me a link to pics.

HAHAHAHAHA You nut. Also... Buying a sword... Put them in poster tubes or bring sword covers [or really long socks or blankets] to wrap around them and just tie them. This is how people normally transport those.

Also~ Naruto headband? Fer srs? I could buy/send you some, lol. They sell them all over the ding dang place here.

FMA is so long, lol. Don't spend over $3 a book!

$3 a book would be brilliant. In AUS, it's (at BEST) $10 a book. D:

Don't worry about the Naruto headband. I'm thinking about a wall scroll now... (I have a short attention span when it comes to these things.)

DDDDDD: $10 is brand new at the store... $10 is also what it costs for the new 3-volume books they've been releasing for some of the series. I should hunt down cheaper books for you. *hops to it*

You is crazy! What kind of wall scroll? I used to look for these things too, but I never use them after. o.O

If I could get the manga at $3 each, I would completely own all of FMA right now. RIGHT NOW, MAN. *is envious of you* But brand new at store is usually $15 - $17. No joke, sometimes $19. Which is bullcrap, honestly.

THEY BETTER HAVE KUROSHITSUJI MANGA. Every store I've gone to doesn't have and can't order it in. If Supanova doesn't have it, I will weep. And then use the money to buy a tablet. Maybe. IDK.

I have no idea about wall scrolls. I try not to picture it because they're not likely to have a design I like (unless a random KakaIru one pops up), but a friend of mine really wants a Naruto one w/ Kakashi and/or Gaara.

Ooh, lucky! I am so envious of the shopping/cultural scene down there. *Sigh*.

Oh, btw, I am a Queenslander. Which kind of sucked once the initial joy of theme parks became, "Ehhh." XD
