This was really nice! It was an interesting loose end to chose and I really liked the backstory you had for Ethan. It gave him some motivation and it was an excellent tie with canon. Also, it felt so good to see old faces, even if Other faces (aka Tom, Alex and Karl at least for me). I also really liked that scene with Harper, it felt like something who could have happened. Really good work!

Thanks! Call me odd, but I've always been really fascinated by the Others and I'd love to know more about them, the backstories of more than just the ones we know about.
And yes, I think the Harper thing could very well have happened (am I the only person who ever attempts to write her?)

Thanks! Well, I would have loved to have carried on, if, you know, those pesky writers hadn't killed Ethan meaning there wasn't much further I could go. I'm fascinated by the Others, and would love to know more about them, things like which of them were recruited and who were natives, so it was great to write them!
(Oh and working on the Hurley one right now, just trying to work out the visit from Libby!)

Oh, this was fantastic. I've been facinated by the concept of Ethan having a wife ever since I found out about it, and I think you presented the idea in fic form perfectly.

I also like how Ethan ended up projecting his feelings for Grace and their baby onto Claire and Aaron.

Poor ethan. Because he's an Other and kidnapped Claire, I think some people forget he was human too and how hard it must have been for him to lose his wife and child. I think you protrayed the emotion and distress of that perfectly. ^_^

Great job!!

Thank you! I always find it interesting to look at the Others in a more human way, and to write about their backstory - I'm convinced, for example, that Danny Pickett was ex-Dharma and hated Sawyer because he'd hated LaFleur . Give me the Others over the triangle any day, glad you liked this one. (P.S. there's also Richard in the above linked fic!)

I agree, the Others are a fascinating, bunch of characters, and writing their back-stories just has so much room to let you imagination flow. Like writing about the Marauders Era in Harry Potter, I think. A lot of exciting possibilities.

Oh, that Danny Pickett story sounds interesting, I shall go check it out now. :D

And yes, give me the Others over that damn triangle any day too. ;)
