Thank you SO MUCH for writing this fic! As soon as I found out Sayid was having a flashback based in France I was so excited thinking 'OMG what if Shannon is there somewhere/somehow?' then imagine my disappointment when she was NO WHERE to be seen, not even passing in the background like Jack in the hospital scene where Shannon has just found out her father died. So I am very happy to read this fic and imagine that they did spend time together in France. I love the idea of them learning together and Shannon sharing so much with Sayid, what a wonderful idea...

I'd actually heard a rumour at one point that Shannon was going to be in that episode, because it had been confirmed that she was coming back, and really I think that would have been better for her character than that Expose rubbish!

I love this! I, too, was so disappointed that we had an entire "Sayid in France" episode and all we got was... what we got (though the island parts of that make it one of my top 5 faveorite eps ever). It also didn't make any sense that he'd been in Paris and not learned a word of French, so this made me so happy. I loved how you have them doing a little project to get to know one another, that she isn't as useless as she thinks she is, that he can see the sadness behind her bitchiness. Love it. And then the end! Yay! I'm sure Shannon will be easier to find, and it'll be lovely in the end.

That never made sense to me either, since he'd been there long enough to at least pick up the basics!

Maybe once I've done my last few luau fics, I'll think about a sequel where he actually finds her.
