I really appreciate that you understand how busy we are and I apologize in advance for not being able to immediately address your post. There also happens to be a lot of posters on LJ with similar issues and concerns about FanLib however, as I am sure you are aware, not everyone in the community agrees on everything. Over the next couple of weeks I am organizing a way to have a more open dialog that will hopefully be acceptable to the great many posters with varying opinions. Again, I apologize for not being able to address your well thought out post and appreciate your patience as we try and make this an organized dialog.

There is already an open dialogue occurring. You don't need to organize it - just join in on it. This, of course, is also the case with fanfic and the fan community.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. Your reply is exactly what I expected. You and your cronies have no clue as to the workings of fandom or the fen who participate in it.

May the C&D orders fly quickly in FanLib's direction, so that fandom can put this most embarrassing, exploitative chapter behind us.

Word.

or should that be "wr0d"?

They really seem geared to kids who write fanfic. I hope that their advertising model falls through, since kids don't have money to spend on those click through ads. *g*

heh, liek wrOd, dude.

I've had a troll through the fic there. Basically what you would find at ff.net - 12 to maybe 16 year olds who can't spell and couldn't understand a plot hole if they fell into it. About what I expected from the *TOTALLY AWESOME GIFT TO FANDOM MAN*

Jesus, their infantile wording is so unbelievably insulting. They haven't got a clue about the demographics of the writers they want to entice to slave work for them for free.

Considering that links to this post are being posted all over the place I personally don't see how you're going to get a "more open" dialogue going than what is already here. You yourself said that you considered the dialogue open and now you're ducking the issues and claiming you want it to be more open.

Once you get past what you've written what you actually seem to be saying is that you want a dialogue on your terms where you can control the dialogue that occurs and, I would hazard a guess at, deleting or making private comments that you can't or don't want to answer so that it looks like you're answering everybody's concerns.

Hey, if such discussion actually gets started on his terms, we just need to screencap the post and our comments, so if he deletes or screens them, we can put the screencaps somewhere lots of people see, so we can mock him and warn people off FanLib. (Not sure which is higher priority.)
