I liked this so much I'm going to tell you twice. I like how it is, this total slice of normal in a very not-normal life. And I like how Viggo seems to treasure the moment, not being gushy, but just enjoying the conversation and henry and no doubt the warm day. it's just an all round lovely feeling.

And I like how he didn't like it but explains in ways that seem reasonable so you can't get made at him (although Bean had to know it had problems)

Also "seen me mexican vacation movie" is a classic bean line :)

Thank you so much! I really was reaching for that "they're just a normal family in spite of it all" feeling. Viggo very much strikes me as the kind of guy who would treasure moments like that.

And yeah, it was a pretty awful movie and I suspect most of the people in it had a rather low opinion of it. But then again, Viggo knows the score and he's done his fair share of crappy movies too, so I'm sure he and Sean are good at laughing at one another and themselves.

That line made me laugh. That's perfect. That's the sort of thing people like Sean should say about their movies, if they're not already. *snicker*

Nicely done. The ending just caps it all off and leaves me feeling, well... content, just like Viggo. ^_^

*grins* I can easily imagine Sean brushing off a crappy movie like that, even though he gave it his all when he was making it.

I'm glad the ending worked; one of my problems with short, flash fic like that is ending it, but then I had the idea of Viggo just relaxing and being grateful for his life and it all came together.
