Thank you! It's probably one of the weirdest combination of our two fandoms that Nancy and I could have come up with, and we were kind of worried it wouldn't work.

The next chapter's with Grace for beta, and will hopefully be up by the beginning of next week.

I still like your Lucius. His world has been broken apart and crushed and it's like the only thing he has left is his dignity, which includes his gentlemanly manners. Not always nice manners, but being rude to someone who owes him nothing and yet is putting himself out to help him would be unworthy and beneath him. Also, I suspect he's still got a bit of shock going on; having everything familiar, including his wife and son, lost to him -- perhaps forever, since he has no idea where they are right now or whether they're safe -- has got to fuzz things up a bit in his head. It'll be interesting to see how his attitude and personality changes with time.

I also like Viggo -- he makes a really good down-to-earth rich guy. :) Green products, natural food, clothes from the cheap-n-comfortable bin, and on the phone with his broker while making lunch. And I like that he's a good enough man, in a way that's so often ignored, that he can empathize with Lucius and feel angry on his behalf, despite the fact that Lucius represents a group ( ... )

Nancy's Lucius is wonderful. I really think she had the harder job here; we're predisposed to like Viggo from the get go, even when he's being more than a little preachy. But Lucius is trickier because, as Viggo needs to keep reminding himself, the guy is a pretty serious criminal. Nancy's done a great job with him.

With Viggo I didn't want him to be too perfect because that puts it all on Lucius and really no one is perfect. So not only can he feel for Lucius, but, as we'll see in upcoming chapters, he's got a lot of anger that he doesn't really want to own.

So glad you liked it; thank you for the wonderful feedback. :)

Wonderful. Terrific. There's a real spark in this story and I am really enjoying it. You've made Lucius quite human here with real depth. *sighs in anticipation*

Thank you! Lucius really is quite fantastic here; Nancy's done an amazing job of writing him as a three dimensional character.
