I enjoyed it, in that first-date kind of way. I got the very strong impression that Sheriff Tom is one of "them," whatever "they" are, and now his wife is too, and what the heck were those flower/pod things in the last shot?
My only quibbles were with the hurricane scenes, which were not at all realistic--too much thunder and lightning, too many people running around like they hadn't had any notice a hurricane was coming. Fortunately, that bit's over and done with.
I admit to a bit of a squee when I saw he had top billing. And yes, he is definitely hot in this. His hair even looks good, which it doesn't lots of times. Nice tight sheriff uniform pants

I actually knew about it from looking at the pics of the ABC press conference, but I'm still boggled. And yes, am certainly old enough to know who he is.
*squees a lot* He's gorgeous in this (even in my BT .mpg file) and just SQUEE SQUEE SQUEE.
The show's kind of interesting, but I have my doubts as to how long it's going to last. It seems too schmaltzy (oh my God, that music) to last more than a season, but I think it'll last the full season and not just half a season like so many do these days.
I keep telling people that Bill Fichtner is one of those guys I've never seen put on a bad performance, and even in this I think that holds true. Man, is he lovely, and I also love how devoted he seems to be to his wife. (Also, his wife? REALLY HOT.)
I liked the show, but in the so bad it's good kind of way. It took me a while to figure out how everyone was related to everyone else, and as soon as I saw Bill in the car, I thought it was very obvious that he was an alien. I hope it turns out to be surprising. The show did give me some interesting alien invasion crackfic thoughts.
