That's it. I'm wiping my characters clean. I'm going to attempt a blog, one to go along my attempts to max out a new character in every mmorpg I can get my hands on. Eventually, it'd be neat to ask someone if I could do this with mmos for free. Does anyone know a good website for this kind of thing? @spookygrlfriend, I'm looking at you.

I'm not going to follow this thing, probably, but let me just say from the outset: you should blog about the mmorpg that YOU WOULD MAKE if you could. This is what I would make...

GREAT APES

You choose your caste/species (Orangutan, Chimpanzee, Bonobo, etc). Maybe it could be set a few million years ago so that you could choose early Hominid species, too.

Anyway, you compete with other forest creatures for primo nest-building trees and foodstuffs. And maybe you compete with other members of your own species for a mate. And maybe you can also gain magic powers...

Bonobo BANANzA, perhaps? Gibbon Galaxy? Sounds like a good plan for my next project. (That is, blogging the ideas for games I would make. I'll let you worry about "Chimp Champions")

The idea here is to fully round my knowledge and experience with one of my favorite game genres, so that in the future I can compare and contrast what ideas I want to keep and which I want to leave out in my own games. Blogging about it will help keep me organized (so many minutes spent/levels gained on so many games per day, for example.)

Also in the off chance I decide to go with pure video game journalism, I'll have something to show I can do it. It's like Julie and Julia, only with less boned ducks.

a good website for blogging? blogspot.com has a good user interface and gives you the domain of telerimoses.blogspot.com. wordpress is also good, a bit more customizable later on and gives you the domain at wordpress.com/telerimoses.

i prefer blogspot, myself. its much easier to get started using and quick to update.

I've used Blogspot before, and have even been surprised to find that actual strangers occasionally read and comment on my stuff... which wouldn't be so bad for this kind of thing. Also the domain name is a plus.

The reason I singled out spookygrlfriend for her advice is that I know she has been at least somewhat successful with actually getting somewhere with knitting related blogging/web pages. I can't figure out for the life of me if there's a way to actually tag someone to get their attention here. Oh well.

Thanks for the tip Kaitlin (I really hope this is actually the Kaitlin I know and not just someone random with the same name). It's always nice to remember old friends are still lurking around the internet, just a click or so away from catching up on things. I hope life is treating you awesomely.
