Maybe this is a weird question, but do you want me to try and come out to be with you after your surgery? I mean, helluva vacation, but seriously--I could probably get some time. It's up to you, I know Rachel will take good care of you either way!

Thanks a lot, Jen - I really appreciate the thought, seriously. Let me talk it over with Ron and see what he thinks, as both he and Rachel will probably have both work and school, respectively. Honestly, I'm not sure how messed up I'll be, and fortunately, everything I really *need* is all on the first floor (my computer isn't, but we still have a laptop with airport access), so I'm not sure how much actual support I'll need, but still, it is a cool thought and a great offer for you to make.
