While I appreciate your, and from the look of it, about 50% of other respondents issue with the topic title, the question's not really asking you about any mexican festivals, regardless of their spelling or purpose. The date is just a trigger for the topic, not the topic iteself.

"Do you have a festival that celebrates the statistically unlikely outcome of a battle in your country?" might have had fewer respondents ;)

Oh, I know, but I just get annoyed at people thinking 5 de mayo is Mexican Independence Day and I feel that, by titling your topic that, you're possibly spreading that misconception! Otherwise it was a good topic idea.

Yeah, it doesn't help does it? Genuine gaffe on their part. Reading the posted answers is pretty amusing since it looks like more people have corrected the error(s) than answered the actual question ^_^
