Political Cuteness - You've probably seen this, but it's too cute

Y'know that whole thing about the more intelligent the mind, the greater the need for play? This was taken right after their acceptance speeches at the convention. Obama's got *two* lines to say to end a little 'behind the scenes' video someone was shooting... and he keeps flubbing them. :-)

I hadn't seen it!

It's good to see them so relaxed with each other.

Of course McCain and Palin may share a giggle now and again, lol.

There's the link to the whole video. It's cute. :-)

I kept trying to picture McCain and Palin kicking back and taking it easy and paling around... and it doesn't work. There's no feeling of respect between them. I'm not sure they even *like* each other. Obama and Biden seem to have a real friendship between them... hell, people slash character with less chemistry than they have. :-)

Me, either. I was prepared to not like Obama because he's much too conservative, as a rule, for me.

But I'm sold.

He's still far too conservative, but at least I figure he's heading in something remotely like the right direction. I find that I *trust* him.

Yes, yes, exactly. (Which is why I was for Obama way over Hillary.) But I trust that his heart and his values are in the right place, and that he's smart, and that he has a balanced, international-looking, future-looking approach.

Exactly. Nobody can look that relaxed while they're screwing something simple up unless they're at least somewhat comfortable in their own skin.

I'm sure Obama's got a temper. It's natural. I'm just as sure that he doesn't let it get to him. He strikes me as a get mad, get over it type of guy.

YES! Exactly! He's been there, done that and *learned* from it. He oozes not just trust, but, and this is going to sound as corny as hell, he oozes wisdom, too.

Damn. A *thinking* President. I'm actually tearing up at the thought.

*tries to remember where her copy of The American President is*
