I refuse to admit it is December 14. Nope! Nein! Nyet!

It's only October. Can't be mid December because I've done no shopping and don't even have my tree up yet.

So there!

Tree? You mean this is the time of year we're supposed to put up a tree? I always wondered when that was.

Nope, no tree here. No gift shopping. I have some cards here, but haven't even begun to address them. Heck, I haven't even paid any bills this month.

LOL! Truth be told, the little tabletop from last year is still sitting, half decorated, on my desk from last year. :-)

The kid got an iPod for her birthday this month, so Christmas will be tiny. I don't even know where the family's meeting up yet. Both the options moved right before Thanksgiving, so I guess it'll be which ever one is most moved in. :-)

I'm got almost all of my shopping done after taking last Friday afternoon off and Going On A Mission. Still waiting to hear from one aunt about clothing size and any book request from one cousin's kid though.

If it were up to me, I probably wouldn't put up a tree. But it looks like we'll be hosting my father's side of the family this year for Christmas Day. Don't get me wrong, that side of the family I actually like everyone, but I have to put up a tree. [whine]

At least I won't have to worry about kids running around wild. There's only three kids, and two are teenagers. One is a toddler though, but seems to be pretty laidback and not a wild hellion like certain children on the other side of my family. ;)

At 14, my kid's the youngest. If you don't count my great nephew who's about 18 months old. But he won't be there this year.

I just found out yesterday we're having Xmas Eve here for my SIL's family. So nine people I think?

Tree is largely decorated, but all the boxes are still sitting around. Gotta get stuff done this weekend, yuck.

My brother sent my folks a live pre-decorated tree. As they just moved he figured they didn't need the hassle of trying to do it themselves this year.

The irony is that the Christmas stuff is one of the few things they know the exact location of. :-)

But he's right. They didn't need the hassle. :-)

Well, we still have cookies and eggnog, so I think we'll manage to get the decorating out of the way this weekend. Which leaves cleaning for next weekend. *makes face*

We've got to clean before we can put the tree up. ;-) The living room looks like a tornado hit it.
