Sweet. I think once the DVR and On Demand numbers are in for Alibi, the numbers will be in the plus side again. Nice to see that the show is pulling back the fans who left for a while. And that the BCC fans, the ones who were willing to destroy the very series they claimed they wanted their princess back on, are just what the rest of us have said from the beginning...a joke, a nuisance, and in some cases, in need of serious psychological and legal help.

They're very small in number, which annoys them to learn. Yes, there are a LOT of people who *liked* Ziva, but not a lot for whom she is the be all and end all of the show.

Hi! So what do you predict will happen when the new chick starts next week? (I think that's what's happening, anyway.)

The batshit folks will go more batshit, the ones just kinda hanging on to them will come back to the fold of the show and things will go on.

For the most part she may well be a benefit. She's smart, quirky and married. This season has been INCREDIBLE without the baggage attached to Ziva and anyone in her orbit.

Honestly, I gave up on NCIS somewhere around S5, and I have to say, Ziva was a big part of why.

Thank god she's gone. :-)

Her being on the show never made any sense.

Nope, it never did. Now that she's gone the writing has improved 100%. This season, once they got rid of her, has been excellent.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I REALLY wanted to encourage the statistical analysis - just for fun... Unfortunately, the data's just too straight forward and clear-cut :D

I was hoping to get a feel for what percentage of the fan-base was only/overly invested in Ziva. I did expect SOME sort of measurable change in total numbers - it's just not there...

No, it's not. My gut told me maybe a million at most just based on casually looking at the numbers over the past few years. And it might be, but there are indications that some viewers who walked due to Ziva have returned. In short, it's a wash.

Wow - better in 18-49 demo! I hadn't even looked at those - just assumed that that demo would lose fans with Ziva gone. Obviously, I shouldn't predict:)

I honestly never even considered that Bishop would be a draw this early. Her introduction has been so positive, she may draw in fresh viewers who are either younger or who had gotten bored with NCIS in general. Very Cool after the doom and blustering for the last few months :D
