Ah, food - Pot Roast

May 29, 2009 12:44

My pot roast has reached its terminal stage of evolution: stew. That is unless I engage in some unnatural selection by morphing it into a base for chili or something.

Maybe I'll just put some beans on to soak and cook the hell out of them in the remains of the stew after fishing out the last of the potatoes.

I'm sure Pat Robertson would be horrified.

Wow. I think I just made my own day.

If it horrifies Pat Robertson, it's probably the right thing to do. :-)

Um. Now that has potential. On the other hand, I could just toss a can of rotels in there right now. Um...

While I am going grocery shopping this evening, I'm not buying a roast. I have to buy party food for kids.

Also? I actually... don't know how to roast a roast. Really. *iz ashamed*

Pot roasts are easy. I'll edit the post. (Don't sweat it, I had to teach myself. ;-)

It really was. It was a good roast. I didn't season it very heavily, but the meat was remarkably good.
