I'd been thinking about some cheese toast, but that wasn't what I wanted. What I *really* wanted was pizza, but that wasn't going to happen. This was the next best thing.

It's the little things in life. :-)

Used to make those with English Muffins all the time - nummy! It's amazing what you can come up with when left with scraps in the fridge...

I go through periods where I refuse to buy anything new until I've dealt with all the odds and ends. It's too easy to toss them out when they're still perfectly good. The most I'll do is buy one or two things to round out a soup or stew.

*THEN* I get to go on a big grocery shopping trip where I buy all the stuff I love... and try to remember to NOT buy the crap that sounded so good, but ended up languishing in the fridge or pantry. ;-)

Can't do mushrooms. But then, I don't care for veggie pizza, either. GIMME MY MEAT!!!! :-) (But I'll make an exception for green pepper and onion with Italian sausage.:-)

I'm a cook of legendary status (and the totally wrong sort of legend) but luckily Sis is brilliant. When she went overseas I spent 6 weeks eating salad. And salad. And then more salad...
