WAR 01 PRE-LIM: VOTING
Finally, voting for the preliminaries! We have 21 participants, and 21 equally amazing icons.
As a the requirement for sign-ups for War 01 was to submit an icon when you signed up, there are no disqualifications and skips for this preliminary battle.
Please read the following before you vote:
- Voting for War 01 Preliminaries will end at SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16TH 2007 @ MIDNIGHT EST.
- You are voting for FOUR (4) icons of LESSER QUALITY to be eliminated, and TWO (2) icons that are YOUR FAVORITES. All votes are ranked in order of preference! For your least favourite icons, please judge based on overall technique and aesthetic quality, NOT personal preferences. We reserve the right to nullify all votes we feel are not fair or justified. Reasons for your favourites are optional (though highly encouraged), but IT IS NECESSARY TO GIVE REASONS FOR YOUR ELIMINATIONS.
- Do NOT vote for your own icons and please do not feel obligated to vote for your friends' icons. Please try to vote as fairly as possible.
- You do not need to be a participant in order to vote, so please vote, even if you're not in the contest!
- Please vote in the following format:
Least Favourites
[#61] (priority 1) - The icon seems to be overpowered by textures, and looks very cluttered.
[#89] (priority 2) - The colouring of the icon seems too dull, and doesn't stand out very much.
[#72] (priority 3) - The icon seems to be of a poor quality, and it looks overtextured.
[#53] (priority 4) - The use of text is poorly done because it is too big and clashes with the rest of the icon.
Favourites
[#100] (priority 1) - I think this is the best image matching I've seen, and it flows amazingly!
[#101] (priority 2) - I love the typography and how it matches the icon really well!
