I can't believe the end is in sight for me for NCC.  I feel like I've been stuck going nowhere at this community college for ages.  I've had so many setbacks it's unreal, not the least of which being me going to the hospital in November and nearly having to stop 6 credits shy of my associates.  But I managed to weasle back into two classes to ( Read more... )

this might be a weird question, but is your NCC nassau community college?
i saw you're listed as living in hicksville.

i have a bunch of friends who go there, and when i saw it i had to see where you were located.
i live[d] in baldwin, and went to oceanside schools, so we're not too far apart.

Nah that's not far at all :) I have at least one friend in Baldwin who also goes to NCC. Ain't Long Island grand?

Glad you're cutting back. I know the feeling all too well. I was (up until last year) going mad trying to finish my prereqs for med school. I even thought about pa school. After a very long talk with my lovely wife, I just decided to let it go! We pulled our kids out of public school (they were both very behind and labeled special needs kids) and I decided to home school them. I LOVE IT! It feels better than anything I've ever experienced before and my kids are already way ahead of their old classmates.

I guess I felt I'd never be worth much unless I got my MD. Only after I took that unbelievably heavy burden off did I realize how wrong I was. It's ironic how hard I worked to be happy, and yet how happy I became when I stopped working.
