[He's been making noise for the past half-hour, mumbling in a miriad of languages, all snipplets of words or long-past conversations. Suffice to say, he's hardly coherent. This isn't a movie, he won't awaken in seconds, gaining conciousness is slow, now ( Read more... )

[The sidelong glance doesn't have to travel far to reach it's target; Ishiah is lying on the opposite side of the bed, above the covers, his body having finally threatened to set itself into the chair still drawn up beside. He doesn't meet the look, however, not pulling his focus from the blank ceiling white.]

Thirty six hours, approximately.

[No need to check the clock.]

[Registering where Ishiah is, how close he is, Robin starts to edge away. He tries to get out of the bed,]

Almost two days. Hmm. And, again, this city has eaten another one of my shirts.

Stay there, you idiot.

[There isn't much more than weariness in the tone. Ishiah takes it upon himself to escape to a safe distance - Robin's notion of safe perhaps putting doors and walls between the two, the Peri only moving to the foot of the bed. Rolling his shoulders, he tries to work out knots tied to unseen spurs of bone and feather.]

Caliban brought over some clothes. It seems you had more.

[Robin snaps his head back, scowling, but sinks back into the bed. He's still tired, Zeus, he wants to go back to sleep. He stares down at Ishiah, appecating the distance, even if wanting to increase it.]

He's finally proven useful for something, then.

[She's been circling the City with no small amount of anxiety. When the entry flashes across her visor screen, she freezes in the air and quickly records a hasty voice reply from her helmet.

If there's relief in her tone, Robin, she's trying to mask it.]

Well, look who's finally up.

Took me long enough, didn't it. Still, nothing can keep me down... occasionally literally.

[A quiet chuckle from her end masks the murmured words (in strikes).]

Almost too long for comfort. Don't I know it, Robin.

Would you like to test that theory?

[Because everything can be taken suggestively, and it always, always will.]
