[Damn being sick and not noticing earlier. Damn friends who kept disappearing. Or getting hurt. It's hard not to sound worried as well. There's too many ways this could turn out. His recent attack, Horatio's duel, the council they'd held while she was sick...it's too easy to let her mind slip back to fears over Grell]
And Len's just at the house or the clinic. Maybe...Jack?
[there's laughter in her eyes as well as her answer. The thought of it amuses her] It could be. There must be all sorts of keys with misplaced locks. Or locks with misplaced keys. It could be a whole kind of matching service...
But this is bit of a puzzle. From a friend. [turning from the cabinet, she holds up the heavy key in her hand to where Stark can see it] All I've been told is that it unlocks something somewhere in the village.
[and that she'd find secrets of piracy once she located the correct lock, but that seemed like the kind of thing to be kept between her and Jack]
[Yukito spots Jilly in the plaza as he heads toward the grocery store, protected from the rain by the umbrella he's holding. He looks briefly puzzled before approaching her, noting the whole looking-pale bit.]
Jilly-san? Should you be out in the rain like this?
No, I'm alright. Honest. I have my jacket. [really, it was more of a concession to the rain than she usually made] Besides, then we'd both be wet.
And I've slept for two weeks. I can't be that tired. [part of her was, but the comment is light and genuine. Whatever weariness she has is worth the chance to be somewhere other than her room]

[Heeey, he knows you! But you really should have an umbrella. Unlike him. See, he's in a short-sleeve and is completely soaked, but he doesn't mind the green hair clinging to his face; he loves it, even.
But you...]
Oi! You don't look to good, Miss Jilly.
[He wonders if you remember him, with his green hair and funky colors in general.]
[the last time she'd seen him, he'd been human, green hair turned to a more familiar shade and skin and eyes blending with the other residents around him. But the shape of the features were the same, the shapes forming a familiar pattern in Jilly's very visual memory. And she certainly hadn't forgotten their conversation about his true race, even if she hadn't seen it until now. It didn't make the green hair less surprising, but it let all the pieces fall into place so that he got a bright smile of recognition when she looked up.
Pushing a damp curl back into the protective covering of her hood, she laughed] You sure know how to flatter a girl. [teasing, of course. There was nothing serious about the comment in her tone]
Oh, sorry about that! I just mean-yanno, you look a little under the weather, and all that; I was worried maybe you were catching something...! But we can get you an umbrella and stuff, if you need one of those!
Your hair'll get messy if you leave it out in the rain.

I have not heard from him since Saturday evening when he went out.
[I'd assumed he was with you. Or someone else.]

He didn't say anything?

[And he'd been trying his best not to worry as he had last time. Then, it had proven mere fun. No cause for alarm.
Now, though... Now.]

[please let Jack be behind this. Please]

They probably would. But it's not so much about what's inside as whether or not this is the right lock.

I haven't seen you in awhile, Yukito. How are you?

I'm fine, but you look a little tired.
