So, I've had general orientation for the University for the past two days. Within these past few days (one of which was on Labour Day), I've gotten a basic outline of the campus in my head, befriended some other nurses-to-be, and gotten a four-month long transit pass for $75. Living in res isn't all that great. There was mice in lister last year, flies in hub before that, and apparently this summer (so says the Edmonton Journal) there were mice in some of the East Campus Village houses. Go to a few house parties, or floor parties in the case of lister, you'll realize why your happy to be at home. Who can say no to free laundry, and not having to fight with your roommates about why they should clean the mold off their dishes!

For the most part living in res. can be a good experience, or it can be a totally negative one. I hope you get to enjoy some house or floor parties.
