Pet peeve

I just can't stand it when people tell me something and add "sweetie" or "dear" or "honey" or whatever. It's so patronizing because it's usually accompanied by some comment letting you know they think you're simple minded. Anyone else hate that

My friend and I were just talking about this. It's gross, haha. I hate pet names all together, even when I'm in a relationship I refuse to call my S.O. "baby"....

I just got a new officemate and she started calling me "sweetie" like 20 minutes after we'd met. After a couple of days I realized she does it to just about everybody, but it just weirded me out.

Gaaaah yes. I hate that as well.
I remember a waitress that couldn't have been older than 21 kept calling me sweetie. I'm like..really? We're a couple years apart.
Lame.
