I vaaaaguely remember being aware that MCR fic existed back in middle school, but I totally forgot about it until recently. And by then I had already been through Johnny's Entertainment fandom and Star Trek RPF, so I was NOT SURPRISED AT ALL.

At least watch the Na Na Na and Sing videos, that way you'll have some visuals and some pretty basic canon. IT'S SUPER FUN STUFF IF YOU SEE THE FAKE TWITTER ACCOUNTS, LOOK AT THE FAKE WEBSITES, AND SEE EVERYONE ELSE'S TAKE ON THE KILLJOY'S UNIVERSE, but just the videos are all you really need. Especially since half of Killjoys verse is fanon anyway.

We IM, Skype, text, call, tweet, pretty much everything you do with irl friends except...talk irl. We Skype a LOT, so really seeing her for the first time won't be all too jarring. I MEAN IT'LL BE AMAZING SINCE WE'LL ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO HUG EACH OTHER A LOT AND SING IN HARMONY WITHOUT TIME DELAYS, but not super bizarre.

Aaaahahaha JE is the Japanese boy band industry. Japanese celebrity culture is really bizarre and wonderful, that was a fun fandom. Also I AM INTRIGUED BY THIS SIMM/TENNANT NONSENSE.

THE NA NA NA VIDEO IS MY FAVORITE THIIIING but the Sing video is kind of important for like, some Korse canon. (and that's where you get all the GOBS OF SEXUAL TENSION BETWEEN GERARD AND GRANT MORRISON, SIGH NERDFACES SIGH.)

I really only get numbers after like, years. And I think we only started texting after we started Skyping. It's been a while and time kind of blurs together for me, so idk. Four years is a long time.

What eveeeeen that sounds fantastic. I KNOW THE REAL HYDE EXISTS AND PEOPLE SHIP HIM WITH GACKT I THINK? BUT THEY AREN'T JYANNIS THEY'RE JROCKERS AND JOHNNY'S IS JPOP.

Yeah I don't have a lot of super close internet friends, just one or two at a time usually, but I'm getting pretty close with Sara's friends at her school so that's a pretty interesting experience. I have most of their numbers.

It's only freshman year, so I'm not worried or anything. I didn't have super close friends in high school until junior-senior year. AND I AM KIND OF A LONER ANYWAY.

...A loner who needs food. Gonna make some pasta now.
