ъ is one of those great accents that makes Russian such a wonderfully unpronounceable language.

THAT'S RIGHT BITCH, OUR ACCENTS ARE SO HARDCORE THAT WE NEED A WHOLE FUCKING LETTER FOR THEM.

YEAH GO PLAY WIT' YOUR DINKY UMLAUTS.

WE SO HARDCORE WE DOM YOUR UMLAUTS AND PUT THEM ON ES.

Ёжик.

ASK YOUR LUBA WHAT Ёжик MEANS, BITCH

though oh god I lol'd so hard at German keyboards. And I was typing "zou" and "zes" and "yebra" for the longest time afterwards, lololol

AND GOD HAVE YOU BEEN TO THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY HAVE YOU TELL ME YOU HAVE IT'S LIKE THE BEST GODDAMN PLACE EVER LIKE I HADN'T BEEN SPENDING MONEY ON ANYTHING AND THEN I GOT TO THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY AND WEAS ALL "AAAAAAAAAA I GOTTA BUY SHIT"

HRRRRRRRRRRRGH NO WE DIDN'T GO TO THE CHOCOLATE MUSEUM BECAUSE IT'S NOT CULTURAL ENOUGH RAGE RAGE CHOCOLATE

But we did go to the Haribo store, so that made up for it.

Also UMLAUTS ARE EASY IT'S THE FUCKING R'S THAT GET ME.

I CANNOT CONTROL MY UVULA THE WAY GERMAN WANTS ME TO.

Whenever I hear Luba speak Russian it sounds like the Russian R is rolled. I love rolling R's. It's so much easier than VIBRATING YOUR UVULA.

Fun fact: My German teacher can't roll her R's but can do the German R. Something is wrong here.

Also god yes German keyboards are ridiculous. Thank lordy lou for the English setting they already had set up.

OH FFFF wait so this is an exchange trip that's so awesome :< Like host family and stuff? (it reminds me of a program we had with Japan aaa) So how long are you there then?

Oh ffff the Rs. My Russian Rs are kind of bad, I'm still trying to figure them out, I say them too far back in my throat. But yeah,t hey're kind of rolled and it sounds so pretty when done right aaaagh.

Though I think Rs are pretty tough in any language except for maybe Japanese where they're kind of fun (I like Japanese but I feel like a total asshole when I speak it because I think I make it sound dumb)

Oh lol I didn't think of English setting when I was there I AM SMART HURF.

Yyyyeah I probably should have mentioned just why I was going to Germany. And who Luba is. Hurf durf on me.

My school and a school in Germany are buddies, there's an exchange program that runs every two years. (this year's the 25th anniversary of the first exchange, which is kind of wow) The Germans are going to be over here in October. I've been living in the House Of Gerrussian for two weeks and I still have another week to go c: The America group goes on trips together, which is how I've been getting to all these cities. It's pretty awesome.

AND THAT'S MY STORY.

Also yeah I hate the letter R. It's a pain in pretty much every language known to man. EVEN ENGLISH R'S ARE JUST. BIZARRE. WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT.

...Did I forget to unstrike it.

Hm.

Editing that in a moment.

NO YOU WILL NOT GET A PICTURE OF ME IN A DRESS. I THINK. Maybe that adorable silk wrap I got at the Ren Faire BUT NOT MY DUMB BLACK DRESS.

ANSWER: Pretty much...the same. They have H&M (lots of it) and stuff, the only real differences are:

-They tend to dress more nicely on the street (according to my teacher they dress like sluts on school days, but I haven't noticed)
-Clothes are MAD EXPENSIVE (80 Euros for a pair of Converse, what are you Germany)
-I wasn't allowed to bring sweatpants >:c
-Guys wear capris. Regularly.
-No short shorts

...Okay that's a fair number of differences but. It's essentially the same. So you can bring your wardrobe over here without worry.

Well this was the first time I've been to a real party with no clear purpose for it other than hanging out and there was beer. Lots of beer.

I DIDN'T DRINK ANYTHING and the Germans don't get massively wasted, so it wasn't the beer that was the problem. Just. All the music and dancing was in a small room and it was loud and obnoxious and I didn't want to dance and I had cramps and was PMSing and just. Didn't like it. At all. Like hiding-in-the-back-room-binging-on-pretzels-avoiding-everyone not liking it.

I did like playing frisbee before it got too dark to play, though.

I think it was mostly the fact that it was just awkward. I didn't really know the Americans there and I DIDN'T SPEAK THE LANGUAGE OF THE OTHER GUESTS so I didn't know who to talk to.

At least there were glowsticks!
