This was beautiful. Poor John wanting to romance Rodney but afraid to make much of a move. Still his actions i think spoke louder than most people's words. I only got to spend two days in Paris and wish I could have spent much longer. My brother and SIL took me when I visited them when he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. I loved it there and this story made me wish to go back even more. Too bad I couldn't have John and Rodney for company (sigh). My only complaint was the elevator in the hotel was so small that we had to take turns going up with our luggage. Still the people were very kind everywhere we went and all of the sights were wonderful, at least the ones I was able to get to. Sadly I only had 4 hours in the Lourve (my brother and SIL are not museum lovers). I'd need 2 weeks just for it. Thank you for not only a lovely story but bringing back some very wonderful memories.
