I find it amusing* how little the AGW conspiracists understand academia in general and science in particular. We are, in general, an arrogant, competitive lot, and if there were even a whiff of something fishy going on, some lab somewhere would be all over it in hopes of proving the competition not only wrong, but happily humiliating them in the process.

Just think "cold fusion."

*that is, it would be amusing if it weren't so damned infuriating.
