Yesterday I pointed to empire_online's news snippet about a possible TV series based on Star Wars, filling in the gap between Episode III and Episode IV.

That does sound like massive overkill :-( Why can't they seem to do anything with something with the potential of Star Wars well? :-(

Considering it took them three years to put together each two hour prequel you have to wonder at 100 hours worth ...

100 episodes of anything seems to be the magic number as far as syndication goes in the States. IIRC, that's the minimum amount you need to be able to get it almost continually playing on some of the 'lesser' channels.

FYI, 100 episodes is a bit over four seasons worth of material here in the U.S., given that a typical TV season is about 22 to 24 episodes long.

That poll was a bit, uh, interesting. Although I have since moved onto Scarlett Johansson from topless Natalie Portman snapshots...
