Spike/Vicious is wonderful if it's written well, terrible otherwise. For me it's one of those pairings that, well...I know it's not canon, and I know even thinking about it is heinous sacrilege against the uber-canonness of Spike/Julia. But it's sexy!And I mean, let's face it, the whole relationship between the three of them was rather scary and obsessive anyway. Spike's thoroughly obsessed with Julia, so that he practically went into a state of suspended existence after he lost her, where the only meaning in his life was to get her back. And Vicious is frighteningly obsessed with both Spike and Julia in a really, really possessive way, to the extent that he wants to kill both of them for betraying him. And really, Spike is pretty obsessed with Vicious too - after all, the whole climax that the entire series leads up to isn't Spike and Julia's reunion, it's Spike and Vicious' confrontation ( ... )

Right. I'm severely tempted to ask you about each of the major 'ships of our fandom, but I will instead ask you about just one: Rei/Max.

What can I say? I'd love to hear you speak about Kai/Rei, Takao/Max, Kai/Takao, Rei+Mao, Balkov/Yuri and Mao/Emily, but I think I have a fair idea of what you might say for those, and we haven't ever really bothered to look closely at discussed Rei/Max.

Oh, and while you're around and I'm on Death Note adrenalin, why not throw in something about L and Light while you're at it? ^__~ Oh, and Rob/Karl. Just for fun.

Also, Soulwax's new album is kicking.

And this sounds in no way whatsoever related to pregnancy. :P

Damn you, you had to play the "if you love me" card! And now I have to write about both of them! >__Rei/Takao is something I never saw until G-Rev, I think because the two of them always sort of seemed to just get along, without any particular tension or closeness to their relationship. There are a few moments, like when Rei leaves after losing Driger and Takao insists on running after him, but the relationship between the two of them never really jumped out at me as pairing material ( ... )

Definitely an interesting possibility, though not one I've quite got my head around yet.

/nods Thank you. It`s something I`ve always just been `interested` in, though it`s never really pulled me in so to speak. You know what I mean? It`s a... nice relationship to me. Nice. Not physically, or intellectually, or anything else like that. It`s not particuarily passionate, it`s... pleasant. There would be moments, and then there would be not. Not quite at a Takao/Max level where they are so married it`s not even funny, but at a same sort of view frame. Though, decidedly more blah since T/M has the cuteness factor R/T misses.

A dark pairing, intellecual rather than romantic, but very possible under the right circumstances.

Okay, Yuri/Kai. This is actually a pairing I really saw and liked when I was watching the Russian arc through for the first time. It was all Yuri being the top dog, and then Kai coming in and displacing him, and Yuri being all angry and resentful 'cause he's not the teacher's pet anymore though really Yuri will always be Balkov's pet! and Kai being completely disdainful of everyone around him - which you know just pissed Yuri off even more! So in my head it was very much an angry hate sex scenario waiting to happen; in fact I even wrote a scrap of angry!sex for those two once (well, more manipulative!sex, but same thing, really ( ... )
