Hi, everyone.
While I really don't like opening extra slots for commissions at a time when I still have some pending commissions, it has come to the point where I don't have any other choice since my bill payments are DUE SOON (one before midnight 5/23, although I will probably be charged a late payment and the next in 1.5 week).
Refer to
this (includes $9 CG waist-up commission info).
My goal is to reach $80, which is highly improbable, I know (but my first bill will be/was late >__<), but I have no other choice :( If the student loan interest goes up, I will be majorly screwed either way.
What makes this different from any of my other commissions? They're just sketches...?
Unlike more detailed, digital CG commissions, these will be speed sketch commissions. I aim to finish all 10 slots or less (or even every 10 slots) within 1 WEEK of their acceptance. And...these are pay what you can (dependent on the commissioner). Only extra services like adding digital watercolor (+$2.00) or inking + shading ($1.50) will be fixed prices.
Okay, sounds good enough ... but what's the catch?
There are just a few, please pardon the errors in organization:
1. These are speed commissions at unfixed wages, so in addition to being a full-time student, I won't be able to revise
sketches. I ask that you PLEASE BE AS DESCRIPTIVE AS POSSIBLE FOR WHAT YOU WANT YOUR SKETCH TO BE
LIKE. References are preferred.
2. You may do whatever you want with these sketches (besides use them as false samples of your work), but PLEASE
CREDIT ME AS THE ARTIST.
3. If you pay extra for digital watercolor or digital lineart + shading, I will be able to revise the image.
4. All payment details must be conducted through pm or email (upon commissioner's request).
Even if you accept my commission, I am concerned about your pending commissions. How will you keep track of all of your commissions if you get overloaded and what order will you work in? Doesn't speed contradict your normal manner of doing commissions?
Prepare for my long-winded-ness. I won't lie; I don't procrastinate on anything but I normally have a heavy course load and sometimes, even on vacation (like last year, which was so emotionally-draining and devastating, I won't repeat it), I may not have time or energy to work on normal commissions. Sometimes, my laptop or 8-year-old PC will crash due to a virus or the printer (like it does each year) will malfunction and not scan (if poor USB ports aren't the cause). These aren't excuses but I do have some pretty bad luck (even if my things last long).
To answer your question, I will honestly say that I have an improved method of organizing all my commissions: all notes/pms will be listed right next to the commissioners' names and there are organized slots according to commission type and order of payment. You can see it
here. Read but pending notes/emails will be starred and pms flagged. I have never forgotten or lost track of any commissions since starting in 2010; I just get busy or occupied sometimes (like right now, I'm studying for an exam and will have another final within a little more than 2 weeks while the family PC is dead on normal mode, which I need to fix or hire my cousin to); I doodle in classes, however.
As for the speed commissions, being in the situation I am, it would be essential to finish these fast and efficiently for the commissioner's benefit. Upon learning from my past experiences, this is more like a job you need to get done as best as you possibly can for the client. I want to achieve this goal, especially when I can grow as an artist, too. What I learn from my experience with one commissioner and the art piece produced will help me with another; there's no excuse (while this is the horrible reality for some commissioned artists) to slack and run off with someone's hard-earned money.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me ^ ^

Oh, on the topic of subject matter, I generally like drawing unique characters or cute girls/hot guys, etc but you are free to commission and challenge me to draw something you think I can't draw, but it will be in my [animu] style.
i.e. a cartoon character, anthro OC, animals, plants/insects, organs (I'm a Bio major), etc ... although these may/may not be humanoid.

*DISCLAIMER: I may be unavailable for certain periods of time due to familial, health or school-related issues, but please note, pm or email me if you have a problem with your commission. I will try to reply within 2-4 days. If I take at least a week to get back to you, please rest assured that I am not ignoring you. I may be busy with school and may be unable to get on the internet (since break times are so short and I get back from classes at night).
Thank you for taking your time to read all of this text. :)
