Hocus Pocus is one of those movies I love so much it's hard for me to write rationally about it. I watched it as a preteen who didn't see many movies, and I thought it was the best thing ever. Recently I rewatched it with

That's an accurate description of Sarah, but *not* (IMAO) Mary. Sarah is practically solipsist, and totally I-focused. Mary, on the other hand, is perpetually aware of, and focused on, the greatest threat to her safety -- which is Winnie. She operates on the question "Will this make my sister explode in psychotic rage? And if so, will the rage be aimed at me?"

So I am delighted to hear that the movie holds up, and has not been ravaged by the Suck Fairy! I haven't seen it in years, mostly because of that fear, so yay!
