Happy October. I used to count off the days till Halloween the way some kids count to Christmas. The opportunities to dress up, paint my face, run around in the dark playing pretend...it was like being in a play, only without all the hard work.

I'm with you on the great fun spookiness of Halloween, and the love for October in general. Hot weather, begone and good riddance!

Cool poem. Now I have to go look up who Fomalhaut is, though.

Thanks! I finally caved and got a livejournal. Only took me four years to make up my mind! It's been a while, so allow me to congratulate you on your new (well, familiar by now) and way cute arrival.
I think Fomalhaut is a star (rings a bell in connection with the name Aldebaran)but I'll have to look it up too.

You're right--it's a very bright star, which comes into view October/November.
