Thanks. I am doin the Grown Up Thing, furnishing my room and doing my housework and driving to my job and worrying about my money. Every so often I feel overworked, but then I step back and go, "Hey, did you expect things would be this cool at this time last year?" and I'm forced to admit that no, I didn't.

Congratulations! What about if my house-moving present is a sturdy inflatable bed, suitable for aging Aunties to sleep on--and useful in later travels? I'll check with experts before buying.
First housemate sounds wonderful--hope the others are, too.

Sounds brilliant. The one that redcolumbine loans me is very comfortable, and I bet you can get one like hers with a dinky built-in fan that blows it up when you plug it into the wall. I hasten to add that you don't owe me a second house-moving present when I move within a year of the last move--but anything that'll make it easier for you to visit is good with me.

The nice young graphic designer seems to have taken the place--there was a futon and floor lamp in the room across the landing, last time I looked. He seems like a very decent fellow, on what short acquaintance I have.

My good luck holds: I've met the guy across the hall, who just moved in. He's an affable young man with a steady job, who has at least a two-day record of washing his own dishes. Like you said, so far, so good!
