I like pass it on challenges a lot - not just screencap pass it on, but other ideas, such as characters, colors, episodes. But I think challenges like that need to be longer than a week and unlimited entries.
I also wondered if it would be feasible to have longer challenges fitted between the weekly/fortnightly challenges. Specialty challenges maybe? Something that would last a little longer and have a little more difficulty? Push our limits a little.
What if there were two weekly challenges and a two week special challenge? I don't know if that would just be moe complicated or what but it might be the best of both worlds?
I have constant drama with my laptop and ISP and it's been going on for years, otherwise I would have participated more often as I really love this community and how you run it. I think it would be a good idea to have the challenges once every two weeks, I liked that before and it personally gave me more time to work on them. I also like pass it on challenges as for me it's easier to work with given cap than to go hunt caps that fit the theme. And icon battle would be great, too! I really loved what you did with challenge 50 (I think) with the goodies grab (caps, textures).
Actually, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to post caps with the challenges? Like, you'd still get the theme but it could be like option A or B, or both. For example, we get the theme close crop and also 3-6 caps, so we can either chose the theme or the caps, or mix and match both? I'd like that, personally. Or maybe I'm just lazy, who even knows.
Yeah, there are days when I'd just like someone to give me the caps and a bunch of textures and go 'make icons from this'. And sometimes also maybe crop and prepare the base for me, too.
