This round is closed, since all the fics have been posted, thank you all!
Hi everyone! There are still 10 stories that haven't been claimed, and I'd really like for everyone to get art with their stories. This is why this second round is a free-for all! If you've already claimed a story, you're allowed to claim a second one (actually, you're allowed to claim up to three stories, but make sure you can make art for all of them!). If you're signed up as a writer, you're allowed to make art for a story other than your own (this was already in the rules, in fact). If you're not a member of the comm yet, you're still allowed to
sign up as an artist and claim one or more stories. That's right, I'm extending the artist sign-ups until every story has been claimed! So if you know any artists, send them here. :)
Also, if no one's against it, I'm thinking of allowing fanmixes and podfics as a "main artpiece"? Writers, let me know in the comments if you're okay with it or not?
Also, writers, if your fic has been claimed you can already contact your artist, send them your draft, start talking. I'll also make a post asking for everyone's preferred dates for posting (and the dates that just won't work) so that I can work out the posting schedule.
EDIT: The posting period will start one week later than first announced, so that artists who work on multiple pieces will have a little bit more time. Also, I'll try to space out the fics claimed by the same artists in the posting schedule and/or schedule artists who have only one story earlier on, as much as possible.
Alright, all remaining fics to be claimed are under the cut. Let's get everyone great art, yes?
Avengers
3. Title: The Escalation of Minor Misunderstandings (It's Always Spider-Man's Fault)
Pairing(s): Largely gen, but mentions of canonical Scott/Allison, Lydia/Jackson, Tony/Pepper, and alluded to/groundwork started for Stiles/Derek, Danny/Jackson, Natasha/Bucky/Steve, Clint/Coulson, Bruce/Pepper/Tony, Isaac/Boyd/Erica and others.
Rating: PG-13, to be safe. It may finally be rated just PG.
Summary: The actual posting summary will be much more pithy, I swear. I've never done a Big Bang before, or had to give an artist a summary to work off of, so I wasn't sure how much to include and kind of went for a "more is more" philosophy of summarizing, so they would know what they were getting into.
Two years-ish after the Teen Wolf gang have left Beacon Hills High and scattered into a loose group of friends/Pack who regularly fly back to California for meet ups and/or Thwarting Evil, they're all flocking back to town for summer break. Danny and Stiles return and go out for drinks with Erica to celebrate their return, but are met by Nick Fury, an Alpha werewolf in this universe, who proceeds to mistake Stiles for Spider-Man, due to the last in an extended series of pranks perpetrated online by Stiles and Danny. (Danny is just MUCH BETTER at it.) When the real Spidey gets up to some Spidering while Fury is confronting the boys, he and Coulson realize their mistake but decide a pair of werewolf Pack hangers-on with hacking skills impressive enough to get past SHIELD's screening process warrants looking into. Danny and Stiles are herded off to Stiles's place with SHIELD babysitters setting security up while Erica dials up backup.
Fury's chat with Stiles and Danny is broken up by the Sheriff, come in to check on his boy. Some flashy magic and a surprisingly well-coordinated ambush later, the Pack has most of the Agents handled (excepting one archer outside) and Fury agrees to send his men outside so they can talk. They do, and come to a mild agreement in which Danny is maybe possibly interested in working for SHIELD and his friends are less than thrilled. Their meet up is interrupted by an outside attacking force using a combination of high tech weaponry, wolfsbane bullets, and nets. Fury and Jackson are hit in the fray, and the two groups are forced to separate and run for it when it becomes clear the house is a goner and the attackers are willing to blow the place up. Coulson wrestles an injured Fury out to waiting cars and orders Hawkeye with the Pack, who steal a car temporarily to head for the safest place they can think of. Which is, sadly, the abandoned train.
While everyone licks their wounds and argues over what happened, they figure out that the main target was Stiles - or rather, Spider-Man.
Hawkeye gets on the phone to Fury and gives a basic description. Scott reveals he snapped a shot with his phone when no one seemed to know who it was. With the photo SHIELD gets to work making sure the attackers really were led by The Winter Soldier. Danny helps decrypt some files while Hawkeye, Scott, and Allison leave to go pick up some allies.
The three of them meet up with Captain America and the Black Widow, come off of a jet, with Lydia waiting there for them, none-too-thrilled about Jackson being sidelined. They ride back to the hotel Fury and his people have taken over, where Fury is still recovering from a wolfsbane bullet being pulled and treated. Natasha and Steve see the improved shots of the Winter Soldier, and both recognize him without having realized previously who he was to the other.
The two groups work via computer link up, trying to sort out what's going on. The Beacon Hills crew are struck with fan-glee (some of them, anyway) and Danny practically hyperventilates in joy when Tony Stark compliments him on the hack job he'd done (while insulting SHIELD at the same time, since they were the ones who managed to get followed by a Russian assassin.) During the back and forth it's revealed, amongst other things, that Fury is a werewolf. Tony Stark is loudly amazed and begins demanding to know whether other SHIELD agents are mermaids or leprechauns or anything. He also reminds everyone that he hates magic. Frequently.
It's decided to move Stiles and Danny to a secure location for the time being until The Winter Soldier is contained. The Pack refuses to let them go alone, so SHIELD and company decide to move them all. The Beacon Hills people are both stubborn and territorial and don't like the idea of letting SHIELD clear their home turf, they secretly plan around them to force a confrontation in Beacon Hills to take care of it themselves. It's unclear if Steve, Tony, Natasha, or Clint catch on, but if they do they don't throw a wrench into the works. With the help of the Sheriff and Argents, they manage to leak the location of their trap. Stiles sets up a magical perimeter protection, Lydia preps flash bombs and smoke bombs, Boyd sets up some of the nets they'd taken from the first attack as traps at the entrances, and Allison, Barton, and Chris set up on the roof. Danny tracks all local traffic cameras to track incoming, and feeds leading footage into networks he knows are being tracked.
Despite their preparation and all the heavy hitters they have, the fight is hard and uncertain. Natasha and Steve face off against The Winter Soldier while the rest of them handle his team. They are all prepped in order of priority targets, which means they go for Stiles first. Stiles holds his own but when a sniper with a tranq gun gets a shot on him, Derek jumps in the way. He ends up netted and dragged off. When their leader is subdued, the rest of the enemy withdraw, but take Derek, Chris, and Tony with them (after using a device designed to deadline tech, temporarily, which left Tony in a momentarily dead suit.)
In the aftermath of the fight, Fury calls for the helicarrier to be brought in close enough for boarding, and gives in with a minimum of protest when the Beacon Hills crew insist they're going to save their Alpha and Chris, too. Steve and Natasha insist on trying to get through to Bucky/James themselves as well, and Hawkeye points out that someone should probably call up Pepper and Bruce.
The story ends with Boyd and Danny deciding they should probably think up superhero/code names while Stiles calls his dad to check in, leaving a lead in for the follow up story where they go rescue their people. (But tying up all but that strand so it stands alone otherwise.)
Warnings: Canonical levels of violence, canon warping (Nick Fury is a werewolf, etc), wonky timelines. No other content warnings I can think of, but happy to add anything if someone believes it warrants it/is triggering.
Other useful information: Mentions of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Technically The Amazing Spider-Man is not IN the MCU universe, but considering they all stem from the Marvel U, and things can be reasonably jiggered together, I got mod clearance to use both. Spidey is more referenced than used, so really the only knowledge you need is that Spider-Man exists and is in New York.
This story will stand alone, with a slightly dangling/leading ending, but because it sprawled out into such a huge thing, it is part of a series. So if you spot places where it seems to imply more follow up, that's probably because there will be. For the sake of my artist knowing the deal, this part is basically Book One, in which everyone meets and the various characters and skills are established and the danger is set up and defeated in time to lead to Book Two, wherein our heroes have rescuin' to do.
It is set post-Avengers, post-Spider-Man, and post Season 2 Teen wolf, but ignores the upcoming Marvel sequels and spoilers thereof, and also ignores casting spoilers concerning who is not showing back up for Season 3 of Teen Wolf.
I wanted to have the last scene finished for rough drafts, but I realized I had dropped a plot point and had to go back and fix it, so I couldn't get it finished enough in time to be read.
At the moment, this is pretty rough and will probably have the action scenes padded out with more dialogue/interaction once the last couple of scenes are finished and in place.
As I said above, I've NEVER done a Big Bang before, so I may have overshared! Sorry! Art wise whatever moves you is good with me. I think the mock up files/images Fury shows of Stiles-as-Spidey would make for a nice image, but I'm not an artist, so I feel funny giving much direction on visuals!
4. Title: But You're The Green In Me (You Sleep Like A Kid)
Pairing(s): Gen, Loki/Sheriff Stilinski Rating: Mature; mentions of sexy-times,
Summary: Papa Stilinsi used to be a hunter, but after a hunt gone incredibly wrong he goes to a bar to drink himself sane and rethink his stance on monsters and life in general. That’s when he unknowingly meets the love of his life. Things happen, time passes and they and their little boy are a family with a new life. Both Sheriff and Loki know that they won’t be a forever type thing. Loki will outlive him if he’s not called home first but still they make the most of it while they can. In the aftermath, the Stilinskis have to pull themselves together and figure out life without Loki. Years late, when they’ve finally got the hang of it Loki reappears. The Sheriff is pleased by this turn of events, Stiles, not so much.
Warnings: Genderfluid Loki. Slice of life. Angst. Odin’s A+ Parenting. Little kids being little kids. Very ambiguous ways of referring to Papa Stilinski since we don’t know his name. Abuse of norse mythology.
Other useful information: (Almost invisible) reference to Supernatural (seriously, it’s just a name). I’m not a big fan of Manips. I preferred drawn things/fanmixes and the like.

Luckily, he finds a distant cousin only a state away in Portland, Oregon. Even better, he’s a cop (a detective really) by the name of Nick Burkhardt.

Warnings: graphic violence, angst, minor character death, magic, torture, and amensia

The Princess Bride
16. Title: The Prince Bride

Rating: M

But when Stiles is kidnapped by a band of three thieves a year later-days before the wedding- and is rescued/kidnapped by a man dressed in black Stiles whole world is tossed upside down. Whoever would have known that being kidnapped was the best thing to happen to oneself?
Warnings: Violence, a lot of swearing, kissing (may have more warnings on final draft)
Other useful information: This is a very rough first draft, the beginning will be revamped at least once more before the final draft. So while the middle and ending are pretty good to go the beginning is kind of sketchy. I will send the more beta-ed and rewritten draft to my artist on request. Basically this starts out almost scene for scene of the movie Princess Bride before Derek train wrecks it into something beautiful. :D
