Ireland or not?

I have the opportunity to raise funds and go and build some awesome youth centers in N. Ireland at the end of July this would put me over seas for 2 weeks but would cause me to certainly miss Pennsic.  I would have to raise these in addition to everything else going on but man does it sound like something I would love to do.  The trip itself is $

You do not have the commitment or attachment to Pennsic that I do. You have not been in several years and it will still be there. While I would go to Pennsic, if you can raise the funds, you should probably go to Ireland. It sounds like work you would love.

This sounds like a wonderful, wonderful opportunity to do something fantastic for an extremely worthy cause...
but...
I think there are some serious questions that I would ask myself before I would commit to doing something like this. Some of them are fairly generic, and would fit most people, and some of them are questions that I'd only ask were I in your shoes (from what I know of your shoes based on your journal and Facebook posts).
I also have an argument for going, (almost) regardless of the answers to the questions... so I'm definitely not saying you shouldn't go...
