I don't do this, and neither does my husband. However, I will say that I've seen a couple of the guys in my office go into the men's room carrying the newspaper, which just baffles me, because I can't figure out why! (It's also the reason that I don't read any of the communal newspapers lying around the office.)

My hub does it. Not me! Toilets are freaking uncomfy for those of us with wide asses. But hten, my husband has a wide ass and can easily spend 30 minutes in the bathroom.

Well, my husband likes to settle in on the toilet with his portable play station 2..... If he is MIA, THAT is where I will find him.... red butt ring and all!

Um, yes, it can be a place for 10 minutes of solitude! I get the "settling in."

This has been a point of bafflement for me, too. My husband, only 30 y.o., goes to the toilet as if it's an event. It's like a morning appointment for him (we can't go out before he poops, and he usually likes to be at home in the morning so he can do it in the comfort of his own pot). He brings magazines in there, and can sometimes be in the bathroom for 20 minutes. At first, I was worried he might have GI issues, but this is his normal. He blames it on the fact that "men don't push". So, I hear you!
